Property was under the strict management and ownership of the head of Jewish Community in Krakow, who used the synagogue property as a warehouse and market place for business purposes.
It happens that there is an active group of Debica second generation who insisted to take responsibility for the building, to free the synagogue from its current long time owner, and to use it for Jewish oriented purposes. Main idea is to have a place where Jewish activity may take place in the town of Debica, who used to have a 30% of Jewish population. Today, the building is free from any business use and together with the local Mayor of the town, every year there are Jewish affairs at nearby park as well as in the synagogue.
