Krakow Main Market square. Surrounded by confiscated Real Estate

This square is one of the largest of it's kind in Europe. Situated about 15 minutes walk from the Jewish quarter of Kazimierz, where mostly Jews lived. The whole area sits on most expensive real estate in Krakow. Those plots that were not occupied by local owners, were confiscated by the city administration or the Treasury office. Claims of old town properties normally take longer time even though when end successfully, it is considered as worthwhile effort.
